IPRA Name and Logo Use Policy

Established by by IPRA Board of Directors, April 8, 2003.

Purposes of the Policy:

  • Achieve maximum global exposure and consistency of use for the Illinois Park and Recreation Association (hereafter IPRA) logo and name.

  • Promote a consistent, global image for IPRA.

General Format and Language:

You must obtain the prior written consent of IPRA to use the IPRA logo for any purpose. Please forward your written request, along with a detailed description of the intended use, to IPRA, 1815 S. Meyers Road, Suite 400, Oakbrook Terrace, IL 60181, Fax: 630/376-1919, Email: webmaster@ilipra.org IPRA will respond to your written request within three (3) business days.

After you have received the written consent of IPRA to use the IPRA logo, by using the IPRA logo, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

  • You may use the IPRA logo in print form to identify your agency or your agency's employees as an IPRA member or partner.

  • The IPRA logo may be used as a link to the IPRA website. You may not use it to link to other pages on your web site or to link to any other third party web sites. You may not use the IPRA logo on any Web site that is pornographic in nature or in violation of any applicable laws or governmental regulations.

  • You may not alter the IPRA logo in any way, including proportion, color, element, type, etc. You may not animate, morph or in any other way distort its appearance. The logo must keep a width to height ratio of 3.1 to 1.0 at all times.

  • Logo may be reproduced in black and white, however, if produced in color, the following PMS colors must be used: Pantone 131 (Ochre) & Pantone 307 (Blue)

  • Your use of the logo must be truthful and not misleading.

  • You may not use the IPRA logo to imply any relationship with, endorsement or sponsorship by IPRA that is not true.

  • You may not use the IPRA logo in connection with any disparaging statements about IPRA, its members or its services, or statements that otherwise reflect poorly on IPRA.

  • IPRA reserves the right to approve or disapprove the use of the IPRA logo in your print materials or on your web page.

  • You acknowledge IPRA's rights to this logo, and agree not to adopt, use, register or attempt to register anywhere in the world any logo or trademark confusingly similar to the IPRA logo. You will acquire no rights in the logo through permission for use and shall take no action inconsistent with IPRA's interest in the logo.

  • IPRA reserves the right, at any time and without cause, to modify or suspend these policies and withdraw any permission granted under this agreement to use the IPRA logo. IPRA reserves the right to take action against any misuse or unfair, misleading, diluting or infringing use of IPRA's trademarks or logos.

  • In running text copy, the IPRA name can appear without the logo.

  • The IPRA name, whether alone or with the logo, must always appear in its legal form in English and the letters of the "IPRA" acronym must appear only in the Latin/Roman alphabet.
