Qualifications:
|
A. Leads and instructs up to 5 full, part-time and seasonal staff to achieve maximum productivity.
B. Plans, evaluates, prioritizes, directs, supervises and organizes multiple tasks simultaneously. Judiciously allocates staff, materials, tools and equipment.
C. Completes inspections, reports, and records that are accurate and timely.
D. Assists in long range planning.
E. Researches and procures a wide variety of supplies and materials. Creates cost estimates.
F. Supports and works to achieve the Mission Statement, Goals and Objectives of the Dundee Township Park District.
G. Cognizant and compliant with customer service standards, policies and procedures. Cooperatively and positively collaborates with staff and patrons.
H. Maintains equipment and material inventories.

Duties:
|
High school diploma or equivalent. Five years of increasingly responsible experience in related field. Ability to read, understand and apply technical operation maintenance and repair manuals. Knowledge of principles and practices of park maintenance, grounds maintenance, turf management, vehicle and equipment maintenance and repair. Proficient in operation and maintenance of a wide variety of park maintenance tools, vehicles and equipment. Knowledge of applicable safety and OSHA regulations. Evidence of continuing education through trade schools, seminars and workshops directly related to the field. Certified Playground Inspector or the ability to obtain certification within one year. Valid Pesticide Operator’s License or the ability to obtain within 30 days. Valid Illinois CDL driver’s license or the ability to obtain within 90 days. Fluent in English. Communication in Spanish desirable.
