Qualifications:
|
A minimum of five years of progressive responsibility in recreation and athletic, administration and staff assignments.
Knowledge of park and recreation issues, trends, personnel management, marketing and public relations.
Strong leadership skills with good oral and written communication skills, long range planning skills.
A highly motivated visionary leader with the proven ability to gain cooperation and communicate clear direction.
Valid Drivers license
A college degree is prefered but not required.

Duties:
|
The Director of Recreation is responsible for the administering of all programs which includes but not limited to the planning, direction, and managing of the service operations of recreation, athletic, aquatic, fitness, and fun center departments.
The Director of Recreation will assist the Executive Director with departmental budgets.
The Director of Recreation will oversee the Manager of Athletics and Aquatics, the Fitness Center Manager, the Manager of Recreation, and the Athletic & Recreation specialists. Finally, the Director of Recreation will carry out any duties directed to him/her by the Executive Director. |
